What is the normal Dankowski Painting hiring process? |

First you’ll need to contact us and set up an appointment for an estimate. Chris will then come to the property to examine the scope of work and answer any questions you may have. He’ll then write up a proposal for you on the spot. If, after reviewing the proposal, you decide to hire Dankowski Painting for your project, you should call Chris at (760)213-0654 to reserve a date on our schedule. After agreeing on a date you must send us a scheduling fee, the amount of the fee will be on the proposal. You have from this time until the scheduled start date to choose your colors. Chris will call you 2-5 days prior to the start date to get your selections from you. |

How do I go about choosing colors? |

First you should go to a Frazee paint store near you and select some color chips that appeal to you and then take them home to see how the colors look in the rooms that you are considering using them in. If you are having trouble you can contact Chris for a consultation or you can buy quarts of paint in the colors that you are considering and you can test them out around your house to see how they look in your home. Another great resource for choosing colors is model homes. They are professionally decorated and the on site sales associate can usually find out the colors for you. Generally, for interiors, one main color is chosen for the common areas of the house i.e., foyer, living room, family room, hallways. Bed rooms and bath rooms can be more personalized, i.e. pink in girl’s rooms and blue in boy’s rooms. For exteriors one color should be chosen for the siding, a separate color for the fascia and soffit, and a third accent color may be chosen for doors, shutters, and other trim. |

What types of paints does Dankowski Painting use? |

We use primarily Frazee paints. Generally we use the following paints in the following areas: Interior- Walls= Flat paint (no sheen), Eggshell (slight sheen). Kitchen and bathroom, walls and ceilings, and doors, cabinetry, mouldings= water and oil based semi gloss paint. What do I need to do to prepare for the project? |

All that you need to do to prepare is choose colors. We will buy the paint, move all of the furniture, and do everything else leaving you with nothing more than a beautiful paint job. |
